Our Commitment

Human Rights & Animal Welfare Policy

At Coco Namhom, our commitment to regenerative agriculture goes hand-in-hand with our ethical responsibility toward all living beings. A truly sustainable ecosystem requires the fair, dignified treatment of humans and the humane, compassionate treatment of animals.

Purpose & Scope

This policy applies to all operations at Coco Namhom — including our farms, processing facilities, and management teams — as well as all third-party suppliers, contractors, and partners across our supply chain. Our human rights principles are aligned with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the International Labour Organization (ILO) Core Conventions.

1.

People

Human Rights Policy

We are dedicated to fostering a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment where every individual is treated with respect.

Fair Labor & Ethical Employment

Freely Chosen Employment
We strictly prohibit any form of forced, bonded, indentured, or involuntary labor. Every employee works of their own free will.
Child Labor Prohibition
We enforce a zero-tolerance policy against child labor. No person under the legal working age — or under 18 for hazardous work — will ever be employed.
Fair Wages & Working Hours
All workers receive fair wages that meet or exceed local legal minimums and provide a decent standard of living. Working hours, overtime, and rest days comply with local laws and international labor standards.

Health, Safety & Dignity

Safe Working Environments
We provide clean, safe, and healthy conditions across our agricultural wetlands and processing plants, actively mitigating occupational hazards and providing regular safety training and proper protective equipment (PPE).
Non-Discrimination & Inclusion
We offer equal opportunities for employment, promotion, and compensation regardless of race, gender, nationality, age, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or social status.
Harassment-Free Workplace
Our workplace is entirely free from harassment, abuse, coercion, or intimidation. Every employee may express grievances without fear of retaliation through our anonymous reporting channels.
2.

Animals & Wildlife

Animal Welfare Policy

As a regenerative farm, we look at the ecosystem holistically. We respect the wildlife that shares our agricultural wetlands and strictly reject any animal exploitation in our production methods.

100% Cruelty-Free Harvesting — No Monkey Labor

Human-Only Harvesting
Coco Namhom explicitly guarantees that no monkeys or other forced animal labor are used at any stage of our coconut harvesting process.
Ethical Sourcing Verification
All of our premium Nam Hom coconuts are harvested exclusively by skilled human farmers using safe, modern tools and methods, such as low-hanging dwarf tree varieties or specialized manual cutting poles.
Supply Chain Transparency
We require strict written guarantees from any external growers or suppliers verifying that their farms are entirely free from animal labor.

Wildlife Protection & Biodiversity

Habitat Coexistence
Our methods actively preserve the natural wetlands. We view local wildlife — birds, beneficial insects, and native aquatic species — as vital partners in a biodiverse ecosystem, not pests to be eradicated.
Non-Toxic Pest Management
By avoiding synthetic chemical pesticides and using companion planting, we protect local wildlife from toxic exposure and safeguard the purity of the surrounding food chain and water supply.
3.

Compliance & Enforcement

Coco Namhom conducts regular, unannounced audits of our own facilities and supply chain partners to ensure absolute compliance with this policy. Any violation of these human rights or animal welfare standards will result in immediate corrective action — up to and including the termination of business relationships and legal action where applicable.

Our Commitment

The exceptional flavor of Coco Namhom comes from a place of integrity. We will never compromise the dignity of a human being or the welfare of an animal to harvest our coconuts.
